With the release of the Digimon Adventure Tri PV, I am now absolutely certain that I will not watch the anime, come November, for various reasons that I just detailed on my Tumblr. Short version is, I'm getting the distinct feeling that Toei is pulling a Crystal on us all and I'm not sticking around to find out.

Unless it does end up proving itself in November, Tri will remain in my discontinuity and I will only consider Adventure and 02 when I draw and write fanstuffs. I'll keep the school uniform designs in mind, but otherwise...

I'm sure I'll feel more free and lighthearted in a few hours, after the initial wave of emotions has died down, but right now I'm feeling drained. The fandom is going to be extra insufferable from now on, I can just tell...

EDIT: And I just found out it's not an anime, it's a... theatrical short series??? Or something? Good, I won't even have the option of seeing them anyway! That makes things a little easier. Just a little, the fandom is still going to be a mess.

Well.................... here we are, three years later, and Tri has ended....................................................................................... Ummmmmmmmmmm............ What the hell did we just watch?

Ok! So, they never utilize the 02 kids in the entirety of the series; the two "original" chosen kids, Maki and Daigo are basically nonentities in their own plots; all the solutions that the "adventure" kids come up with to win the day are literally ass pulls; the "adventure" kids act completely out of character (before, they'd be so torn up at the loss of a friend; now, they just go about killing their friends partner Digimon without any regrets) ; and the ending is nothing more then a trolling of the audience.

Well everyone, if you want to know what a dumpster fire looks like, look no further then Digimon Adventure Tri; just one big grease fueled dumpster fire, that Toei keeps trying to put out with water.
