Description

I’ve been playing Starbound a lot lately (it’s one of the only games my ancient computer can still run), so I wanted to draw my main character, Iori the Hylotl. And his kelp and rice-loving Crasberry, Uppy. Because he’s a cute lil crab thing.

Basic Iori facts:

Upbeat, sweet, and extremely curious, he is a natural-born explorer. He’s very eager to learn and prone to rambling when excited. He’s excited a lot.
Comes from a large family of merchants. He is the youngest of a clutch of six.
Lost his third eye to a Floran as a teen. He is deeply ashamed of this, and always wears headgear to hide his scars. This incident is the reason Oculemons make him uncomfortable...
Broadsword user, his personal favorite is the Water Sword. However, he is a peaceful sort who only fights in self-defense and prefers to talk things out.
Musically gifted. He has a large collection of scavenged old instruments and can play them all, though he favors the ocarina and the koto.
Vegetarian; his favorite foods are potatoes, sweet fruit juices and Reefshake.
Tries REALLY hard to get over his ingrained prejudice against Florans, despite everything, because he truly believes in the goodness of people. It’s an uphill battle.
