I must say, I totally love your humanstuck drawings. They're adorable! Even though the names make me laugh a little bit (in a good way though) :3

I think I should thank you as well, as your humanstuck drawings are a great inspiration to me.
(I'm currently doing research for my first humanstuck fanfiction, and haven't really decided everything for my headcanon. You know, it's a little difficult when there are like ten different versions of one troll and you want to make them unique)

Hello.

You do not know me, except maybe as that girl who commented on you, like, once.

But I know you.

I know you because I am one of the multitude of fans who read Theiastuck. One of the fans who love you for your beautiful art and breathtaking story. I am not one of the fans who kept the thread alive through over three months while you dealt with your depression, but only because I wasn't able to get an account before the thread was locked (dammit Mather1! You weren't helping!).

I know you are hurting, and that you feel like nothing you do is any good. But I also know that you are a wonderful person with artwork that is just as good, if not better.

I know that you touch so many people with your art, making their lives just a little bit better, all without knowing it.

I know that for every one person publically expressing how much they love your art, or how much they wish you'd feel better, there are at least ten others just like them, too shy to admit it.

I know all of these wonderful things! Now all I need to do is to make you see them too.

I love your art style! don't give up, your style is great as is and there are many opportunities out there. don't let what others say about your work get to you. if art is the only thing you have left, so be it. what ever you do, DON'T LET GO OF IT OR LET THE LIGHT DIE. just remember, you have all of us watchers who love your work!

Hi. Um, we don't know each other, and I'm not sure if I'm too late to say this, but I just read your journal entry and....

Don't give up.

Even if you can't be an animator, who says you can't make your own comics? I mean, there're comics like "cyanide and happiness" and "the order of the stick" that survive on stick figures. What makes you think you can't pursue another venue of art with your own style?

All I'm saying is... if you love something, and you want it as much as I think you do... then you shouldn't give it up. You should strive ahead and try to persevere. Show them that THEY were the wrongs ones, about you and your dreams.

But don't give up.

Giving up.... it's like the only true death there is for creativity and for any real joy in life.

Again, I don't know you. Maybe I never will. But I just want to say... good luck. Go out there and shine girl. And show them what you're made of. Don't give in.

You don't know me - I've just been lurking on your page for... I dunno. Maybe a few weeks now. And I probably would have continued to do that if I hadn't seen your journal entry up there.

First and foremost: I love your work - hence why I've been creepily lurking on your page. You. Have. Talent. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I'm not going to bullshit you and say things like 'da Vinci got nuthin on you,' but you don't have to be a master to be good.

If your alleged 'lack of improvement' really bothers you that much, the thing to do is draw MORE, not to stop altogether. You talked about how you only draw in the same style (and in my humble opinion, there's nothing wrong with that, but that's a debate for another time). Well, the only way to get better at that (at anything, really) is to keep practicing - and that's not going to happen if you give up.

When it comes down to it, I'm kinda talking out of my ass - I can only hope something I said made you feel better. Whether you stop drawing or not is up to you, as much as I'd love to say 'NO, DRAW MORE' and have you do so. If you quit, though, the artistic community loses a very talented person.

... but looking at how much this crisis seems to have upset you, I personally think that you're far too passionate about art to ever stay away for too long. So I'll be looking forward to whatever you serve up next.

Well... I can't believe you're gonna stop drawing :/. I just wanted to say that, I love your art and love your style, and it makes me sad you want to stop drawing. But if you want to be happy with your art, then you have to concentrate on that for days, non stop, you can't force art but if you try a little everyday you'll most likely get to a point where you're happy with your art. At least that's what happened to me. But most of all, don't rely on talent because you don't born an artist, you grow an artist, and you don't need talent you just need practice. After all, practicing a bit everyday helped me and I'm still pretty bad at art, but don't give up in something you like because people put you down. You can't force art, but I don't think you can force yourself to quit something you've been doing and loving for a long time either.
